TIPS AND TRICKS TO KEEP YOUR POOL RUNNING PROPERLY

POOL CLEANER NOT WORKING?

A common problem that causes the pool cleaner to stop working is when it sucks up an object on the floor of the pool, such as a rock or stick.  To alleviate this problem, pull the cleaner to the surface of the pool with the cleaning system still on, but DO NOT REMOVE THE CLEANER OUT OF THE WATER and see if you can find the cause of the problem.  If this does not help, turn off the cleaning system and thoroughly inspect the cleaner to find the obstruction.

STOP YOUR POOL FROM DRAINING

A common cause for unintended draining from your pool is the failure of the o-rings and/or the gasket in your backwash line valve.  Shut down the system and replace them to stop the water loss.

WHEN AND WHY TO DRAIN YOUR POOL

Many pool owners do not realize that they should completely drain their pools as an effective preventative maintenance measure.  How often should you drain the pool?  Generally, every 2-3 years.  However, if your pool’s calcium hardness level exceeds 700ppm the pool should also be drained.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE FOR YOUR POOL

Each week your pool needs attention to remain running effectively.  This includes emptying all baskets, scrubbing the pool’s walls, ensuring that the proper chemicals and chemical levels are maintained in the pool and backwashing your filters no more than every 3-4 weeks.
